FIBERED AND CENTERED 
HANDMADE PAPER FROM NATIVE AND INVASIVE PLANTS
For the past two years, I've concentrated on handmade papermaking. I've been using local native and invasive plants that are sometimes blended with commercially produced fibers.  In 2021 this work has been exhibited at the Culture Center in Bird Island, Mn, EcoArts Studio in Ortonville, Mn, Central Square Gallery in Glenwood, Minnesota and the SMAC gallery in Marshall, MN 2022 exhibits begin 
January 13 at the Prairie Renaissance Art Center in Morris, MN.

​ Paper Making Workshop   Saturday, July 10, 2021, 9am to 12:30pm 
At EcoArts Studio, Alley Entrance 221 2nd St SE, downtown Ortonville, Mn
 
This is an arts program to provide hands-on paper making learning experiences connected to the conservation of prairie, its plants, water ways, and the earth’s raw materials. 
Participants will:
  • Make eco-friendly, handmade paper from recycled and natural plant fibers found in the local area. 
  • Learn art making skills while using paper making tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Broaden their appreciation of plants, their fibers, and ways to transform them for artistic purposes.
  • Associate with others socially and collaboratively while engaged in art making processes.
  • Gain a a sense of the history and science of papermaking.
  • Create an artwork to take home along with a set of various handmade papers.
  • Be provided with equipment and instructional supplies during the worshop.

Register early as space is limited to 12 participants (ages 10 years and older).
